Modern methods broke down biblical “texts” into their original smaller units of tradition history and questioned the historicity of theological traditions. Thus, modern study sometimes proved helpful and other times hindered faith formation and ceased to be integrative. Hence, we honestly respond to the modern era in new and fresh ways that illumine both intellectual and faith formation. We train students to work intelligently in Synagogue and Church in ways that are illuminating and practial.
